Personal:
- Born in Bourgas, a small and beautiful Bulgarian city,
near the Black Sea.
- Lives with her husband, Alex, in Sofia
city - the Bulgarian capital.
- A certified, full-time artist.
Favorite working materials:
All kind of drawing media - ink, colored pencils, pastels,
etc.; also watercolor, acrylic, paper.
Favorite themes:
Japanese, Indian, Chinese woman portraits. Fantasy and
fairy-tale characters: faeries, mermaids; also angels, birds, flowers.
Main sources of inspiration:
Asian art; Indian art and costumes; Chinese art and
costumes; Japanese "Ukiyo-e" (i.e. Pictures of the Floating World); Art
Nouveau, history of art, history of costume, fashion, literature, movies,
music, nature. Beauty and harmony in all its shapes and colors.
Hobbies:
Writing in a diary, walks in the nature, reading a book, listening to music,
photography, plant a flowers; thinking or just dreaming awake.
Education:
- Fine Art School, with intensive training
in painting, drawing, sculpture.
- Bulgarian Academy of Theater and Film
Arts - specialized in Fashion Design. A multidisciplinary subject, with
a strong focus in drawing, painting and design; supplemented with
acting, fashion photography and dance.
